A small gift, gently asked for

A handful of pounds, applied to a meadow's rent, a young person's tools, or the south post of a lych gate.

We are not in the business of raising large sums. The bequests we hold pay their own way most years. But a small gift — at most a tin of paint's worth — helps with the small unexpected things: the surveyor's fee, the printing of a parish notice, the late winter shortfall in a hard year. Thank you for reading this far.

Other quiet ways to support the trust.

By cheque

Cheques made payable to The Bishops Frome Consolidated Charities, sent to the registered address below, will be acknowledged by post within ten working days. We do not charge a payment-processor fee on cheques.

By bank transfer

If you would prefer to give by bank transfer, please write to [email protected] and we will reply with the trust's account details.

A legacy or bequest

If you are thinking of leaving the trust a small legacy in your will, we are very glad to hear about it in advance — it helps us plan how each bequest might be used. We ask that you take independent legal advice; we cannot draft a will on your behalf. The trustees can supply a short form of wording on request.

A donation that keeps a meadow rented, a young person in pruning gloves, or a lych-gate post seasoned and sound — that is exactly the size of our ambition.

What we will not do with your gift

We will not put it into market-risk equities. We will not spend it on marketing, on consultants, on a fundraising agency, or on growing the trust beyond a size the parish needs. We will not share your name, address, or email with any other organisation, ever. We will not telephone you to ask for more. Our quarterly dispatch is the only follow-up you will receive, and only if you opt in.

Already given? A thank-you, and please consider sharing the dispatch with a neighbour.
